WAVES: Support for the Early Years of Adulthood
WAVES grew out of The Queen’s Council, a circle I created to support young women in developing confidence, leadership, and self-awareness as they were growing up.
The Queen’s Council was guided by five principles:
Q.U.E.E.N.
Question • Unite • Educate • Empower • Navigate
As many of these young women began leaving school and stepping into adulthood, a new need emerged — support for navigating what comes next.
The years during and after college can feel exciting, but also confusing.
Many young women suddenly find themselves asking:
What am I doing with my life?
Who am I becoming?
How do I make decisions about work, relationships, and where I belong?
You may feel ready for independence while still figuring out how to stand on your own.
You may feel excited about the future — and unsure about where to begin.
WAVES offers a space to explore these questions with guidance, reflection, and supportive community.
The WAVES Framework
Five Capacities for Navigating Life’s Changes
W — Wisdom, Wise Action & Wonder
Learning how to make thoughtful decisions while staying curious about life. This includes practical life skills as well as the courage to explore what truly interests and inspires you.
A — Awakening
Early adulthood is a time of discovering who you are, what you care about, and how you want to live.
V — Values & Virtues
Understanding what matters most to you and learning to make choices that align with your values.
E — Emotional Intelligence & Enchantment
Developing emotional awareness and resilience while staying connected to the beauty, meaning, and possibility of life.
S — Self-Discovery, Self-Awareness & Self-Love
Building a deeper understanding of yourself and learning to treat yourself with compassion as you grow.
The WAVES Experience
WAVES is designed for women ages 21–28 who want support during the early years of adulthood.
The experience begins with a half-day workshop in nature, held in the coastal landscape of Marin County. Being outdoors creates space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
After the workshop, participants continue the journey through three small online group circles, where we explore real-life questions about work, relationships, independence, and personal growth.
These gatherings create space for:
• honest conversation
• meaningful connection with peers
• practical tools for navigating life decisions
• building confidence and emotional resilience
You do not have to figure everything out alone.

What is the QUEEN’s Council?
The QUEEN’s Council is a video-based platform where women meet regularly to learn, share, and gain knowledge from each other’s wisdom and feel supported in life. In joining the Monthly Council, you can participate in interactive gatherings online, including meditations, lectures, and intuitive readings/Q&A office hours with Abigail. In connecting regularly, we learn from each other, we inspire each other, and we better each other.
Expertly led and facilitated by the creator of the QUEEN’s Council, Abigail Bruce, MS, ANP-BC, APHN-BC, RN, CHT, CLC, DD. Abigail has been named by Expertise as one of ‘San Francisco’s Best Life Coaches’ for the past five years. The QUEEN’s Council is for those who are looking to feel supported in their self-discovery whatever their age, background, or circumstance. No matter what stage of life we are in, a queen questions, unifies, empowers, embodies, and navigates with honor and integrity. Through the QUEEN’s Code, we can help each other develop self-compassion, take charge of our futures, live with autonomy and consciously, and enjoy self-rule.
